Sailing.
You will be sailing aboard a beautiful Pearson 37 cruising boat. Perfect for day sailing.
Beaches.
The most beautiful beaches on St. John are less than a one-hour sail from the east end of St. Thomas, where the sailing adventure begins.
Hiking.
One additional option, for the more hearty amongst us is the joy of hiking the beautiful hillside trails of the St. John National Park.
The Boats
Pearson 37 is a Bill Shaw design, built in Bristol, RI. A sloop rig with 16,000 lbs displacement, a winged keel, and a step down rear transom.

Bruno Paciulli
Captain Bruno Paciulli has over 30 years of offshore and coastal sailing experience. He holds his US Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Captain License and has been working as a Captain and a Sailing Instructor in the Caribbean for the past 2 1/2 years. He has also captained boats from a Cape Dory 28 to a Sun Odessey 50, and many in between. He is a US Sailing Level I, II, III Coastal Cruising and Coastal Navigation Certified Instructor. He is also a ASA level 103, 104, and 105 Certified Instructor.
Fun Fact: Bruno recently captained the delivery of a Hanse 47 from St Martin to the St Thomas Yacht Club, where he is a member in good standing.
David McDonough
Captain David McDonough holds his US Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Captain License. He has been coastal and offshore sailing for over 50 years in the Mediterranean, the Gulf of Gibraltar to the Canary Islands and from Bermuda to New England. His coastal cruising grounds include all of New England and the Canadian Maritimes, the mid-Atlantic from the Chesapeake Bay up to Martha’s Vineyard, and, of course, the Virgin Islands. He is the boat owner and also a member of the St. Thomas Yacht Club.
Fun Fact: Family sailing history relates back to Commodore Thomas MacDonough, victor over the British in the Battle of Lake Champlain during the War of 1812.
